My Dear sister,
Priyanka,
I still remember those old days being kids,
On festivals, it was a #KitchenSet always brought for my sister and I got the Gun,
On her birthdays, She used to get that #BridalDoll and Cricket bat for me...
She questioned my Dad always, that Why she couldn't make it to any Convent or #EnglishMedium school.
When she asked to play outside with us or to go to school tours, she was answered #TheyareBoys.
When she asked to join Computer classes, she was forced to join #CookingClasses instead.
She wished to pursue MBA, she found herself in a girls college enrolled into M.Sc (#HomeScience)
Even with a Gold in her PG, when she asked that she wants to do a job, to do something with her skills, she got married in next five months.
Stereotyping from the birth is in our Blood, in Mind, in "Society".
I m not saying all this to criticize,
or to blame my #Parents,
or to question the #Societal norms,
or to go against the #Traditions.
Who I am to "Question".
But I will request each and every one coming thru this to ask a question to themselves.
Let bring a #Change.
#Change which we talk about will start from #Me, #MyFamily.
I cant go back to bring those days back for u sister, but I will make sure that it will not be repeated in our family.
//Happy Women's Day//
And the last thing I want to tell u that I respect The way u hide ur aspirations, ur pain behind ur Smile.
I salute u for that.
